Bunnell Elementary School offers a variety of opportunities for students to participate in after-school clubs and programs. Involvement in these activities helps students academically by reinforcing lessons learned in the classroom. Students will develop valuable skills and build confidence by engaging with their peers in group settings.

  • The Art Club allows students to express themselves creatively. Club members gain skills in time management and organization, which boost their self-esteem.

  • Participation in Chorus allows students to express creativity through music while developing vocal skills. Students will learn time-management and organizational skills and boost their self esteem while working with other students.

  • Students in the Gardening-Culinary Club will learn about gardening, nutrition, cultivation, and cooking. Skills developed in this club will be helpful in future Health and Science classes and may encourage an interest in the Future Farmers of America Club.

  • In Kid Zone, students are given opportunities to expand their knowledge and participation in STEM activities. 21 4th- and 5th-grade students come together through their love and appreciation of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. They conduct experiments following the scientific method, build structures using a myriad of different materials, increase their fluency with multiplication and division to solve problems, and start to learn the beginning processes of coding. This club promotes friendships and builds a stronger foundation for education.

  • The Running Club allows students to use energy to develop athleticism. The club will prepare students for participation in middle and high school activities and sports such as cross country and track. Club members will learn to appreciate what it takes to be an athlete and how to prepare for a run.

  • Soccer Shots of Central Florida is an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development. The Soccer Shots team positively impacts children’s lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, communication, and curriculum. 

    Soccer Shots at BES focuses on individual skill, fitness, and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for students to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Children will also be introduced to competition in a developmentally appropriate manner.
